I engaged Tony Bennett to carry out a full refurbishment of my apartment at Bondi Beach, Sydney. Tony’s quotation process was fast, professional and seamless. He spent time at the outset to understand the brief fully and made invaluable suggestions in terms of both design elements and cost efficiency savings. The works contract was prompt, clear and concise and I was continually updated on costs and expenses throughout the process. Due to the age of the building and the floorplan we had to work with, the design involved some quite tricky elements requiring structural alterations and inventive use of space (all of which were Tony’s excellent suggestions). Tony prepared immaculate plans for all the rooms and other work details for my approval. I was kept fully informed of the progress, and the build itself went smoothly and in accordance with the scheduled development programme and I was thrilled with the result. Tony has an excellent eye for detail and stays with the project until completion. He is a very skilled designer and has a great rapport with the tradespeople that he engages. Due to Tony’s attention to detail and perfectionist approach, I am happy to say that I have not had a single defect in all of the works that were carried out and I am continually being complimented by visitors on the both the ingenious design elements and high specification of work. I contracted Tony Bennett, AJ Bennett to Project Manage my new custom designed kitchen and bathroom Lane Cove North, Sydney in November 2013.
At our first meeting to discuss my design concepts, Tony demonstrated an excellent understanding of good design. Following a site inspection, Tony provided a detailed budget of the design based on my drawings. Tony provided knowledgeable industry experience to reduce costs when my design was over budget. We negotiated to use a combination of our suppliers, contractors and a modified design to achieve a good design within my budget. Throughout the project from commencement to completion, Tony’s project management skills were excellent. My apartment, located on the 3rd floor with no access to lifts and no on-site parking made the transfer of materials difficult. Tony ensured all internal and external common areas in the apartment complex were kept clean and free of any dust or materials. The preliminary setup and protection of floor finishes ensured there was no damage to carpets or walls that were not part of the scope of works. The on-site supervision of the contractors’ workmanship was excellent. As with all renovation projects, there are always variations and additional works, especially plumbing and electrical. Tony contacted me immediately with regard to any problem so we could discuss the options and make fast decisions to keep the project on program. Tony proved to be a very capable Project Manager with excellent industry knowledge. Tony handled the difficulties of the project with professionalism and an ability to provide well thought out design solutions.

It is with highest regard that I am writing this reference for Tony Bennett.
Tony carried out carpentry building restoration work at my family home last year. I was most pleased with the end result. He has an excellent eye for detail and his workmanship is exemplary. Some parts of my home were severely water damaged and Tony was able to remove all of the damaged timber and panel works. I was amazed when I saw the end result, I couldn’t tell where the existing work had started and the new work had been carried out. He replaced several areas with new materials and even colour matched the stain to blend into the old areas. I would highly recommend Tony Bennett to carry out renovation works to anyone requiring a quality builder.

We engaged Tony Bennett to Project Manage major renovations at our apartment at Broadbeach in late 2015.
Tony managed the installation of a new laundry, relocation and installation of a new kitchen and converted our apartment from a two bedrooms to a three bedrooms. Tony’s professionalism and Management skills at all times was beyond dispute. Tony has an excellent attention to detail and a complete perfectionist. We reside in Sydney but we were updated daily on the progression of the renovations throughout the entire project. We were in Broadbeach towards the end of the renovations and noticed on many occasions how highly respected Tony was by all of the contractors. This is a true testament of how highly regarded Tony is respected within the building industry. We are so pleased with the end result we recommended Tony Bennett to very good friends of ours who also reside in Broadbeach. They have signed a contract with Tony last week for major renovations to their apartment to commence this month.
